At Union Bethel AME Church, we have a simple desire: to see people come to know Jesus Christ. We also hope that people find an atmosphere at Union Bethel where growth in discipleship is a guiding principle. Church membership is not the goal. Growing as a devoted follower of Jesus actively expressing love for neighbors is the aspiration for all who enter our doors.
The AME Church was founded on the principle of dignity, freedom, and justice. We at Union Bethel have not forgotten nor walked away from those principles. As a central contributor to the spiritual foundation of the surrounding community in Cary, we continue to follow Jesus in caring for the "least of these". Our prayer is that God will continue to guide people through our doors who are searching for a place filled with love. Come and be bathed in the love of God by a group of people working actively to advance the truth about Christ Jesus.
When you join us for the first time, you will find a simple worship service focused on expounding Biblical truths. During the service, you'll hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up and our pastor's preaching. All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding. At Union Bethel AME Church, we agree with the Apostle's Creed which we read during the service.
After the service, stay for a few moments and give us a chance to get to know each other. Let our pastor and other worshippers greet you. We'd all love to hear your story and share ours with you.
No matter what your Christian background is (or isn't), we hope you'll join us on Sunday. Here at Union Bethel AME Church, you'll find we welcome people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures. We welcome everyone--including you. Our Church School starts at 9:30 a.m. and Worship Service starts at 10:30 a.m. every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday.
